Drum & Bass Night @ Tag, Friday 4/18

Event for all the drum & bass heads this Friday at Tag in Chengdu, on the Poly Center 21st floor.

Featuring Sammy Smallbone who has been in and around the drum and bass scene since about 1996. Sammy grew up on all the major artists and labels of that period, digging in record crates in North London and searching for the freshest cuts and upfront white labels.

After a stint at Ray Keith’s imprint, Dread Recordings, and two years with the legendary Valve Sound System, Bones finished up his first sitting in drum n bass at the renowned SRD warehouse in Seven Sisters. By that time he had carved out a name for himself on the east London warehouse/squat party circuit, mixing hard hitting amen and sub bass tracks layered with sweet, airy female vocals.

Bones has now played for some of the major players on the HK and Macau bass music scene including Sessions HK, Magnetic Soul, Bass Music China, Heavy HK, Ecstatic Bass and of course Strategic Sounds. He is known for his tight beat matching and eclectic and varied style. He loves all sub-genres of drum n bass and represents that in his sets.
