How much per month? I doubt many laowai want full-time, but I’ll consider it if the pay is good.

Oh, Rick in China…you have ALL the answers. As I am very new to Chengdu, as well as China, I might need your expertise. Also…why cut off the face of the lady in the photo? Is that the only “good” photo you have of yourself??? Love when people do that! Too funny…you handsome man. I browse the site now and then and Rick you have inspired me to just sign up already! Thank you. :D

Corey – I don’t have many photos on my PC, that was one of the few around taken with my friend in HK. I agree it’s a little weird to chop out someone’s face for a thumbnail, but whatever.

Glad to have been an inspiration ;)

I would say the majority of foreigners teaching English in China are not on Z-visas. Rick is right, there’s really no need to get a Z-visa if you want to teach English, practically speaking.

    Hi Guys,

sorry about that, haven’t been on for a while.

school can help you get a work visa, but you do need to do a HK run. Yup, HK run still works for some places and Chengdu is one of them.

after two months probation, base salary is around 8k, there is also housing allowance and flight reimbursement.

need teachers from UK, US, CA, AU, NZ though

teach students, probation is pretty easy, as long as you don’t do anything major, you will pass the probation period
