    Hi there, I’m in process of planning a 3 month stay in Chengdu later this year. Just wondering if there is anybody who is staying in the east of the city and can recommend specific areas to look in to?

    Any help would be great!

    Let’s see.. in the east, I think the best places to check out are Hejiang Ting (really nice location next to the river) and near Dongmen Daqiao. The east has is well developed and has some of the best spots aside from the south. Kehua Beilu is technically on the east also (SE, really) and that’s a nice area with lots of good housing also.

    Hi Charlie,

    Many thanks for the informative reply. Unfortunately I made a glaring mistake in my research and it is in fact the WEST of Chengdu that I am looking to find an apartment. Are there any nice areas like the ones you described in the East? Your help again would be much appreciated!

    In the west you have good housing around Chengdu HuaYuan ( Garden ).
