Matt Davis is a 35-year-old, Alabama-born, award-winning comedian who has released 5 albums over 18+years as a touring performer while logging repeat performances in 150+ cities in eight countries, including appearances at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, JFL42 in Toronto, and Sketch Fest in San Francisco and with comedic video shorts included in collectives at The Film Dayton festival, the LYAO comedy festival and the Cincinnati Film Festival.

He is kicking-off a year long tour around the world in July. He starts of a handful gigs in Asia and from there will go country-to-country for the next 12 months. Along the way, he is reaching out to people he knows, and people he meets, for introductions and guidance; each of them being the possible link to the next country or city, the next place or gig to rest or the next set of experiences. He hopes to conclude this experiment in August of 2016 at the largest arts festival in the world, the Fringe in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he plans to showcase an hour of material written and shaped by this journey.

Chengdu Bookworm is proud to be the first stop of this experimental touring gigs.

Local comic Rob Brien will be MC for the evening. Our last two shows like this were total sell outs, so advanced tickets are advised.

It starts around 8pm, sorry for not putting that in the original message.

At the moment you can only buy tickets at the Bookworm, sorry about that. It’s something we need to look into for the future.
