Saw that some of you like cycling, thus this tour might be very special for you! It might also be interesting to people who want to buy some organic food and see before how it is grown. You can join the organic consume community, order the food directly from the farmer, who then transports it to your place in the morning. Compared to the food in the supermarkets you will know this one is not polluted. Here’s the announcement:

Bike Ride on Saturday, August 2!

Come on our visit to Anlong Village!

Reserve your spot by replying to [email protected] before July 29, 2014, with your name, cellphone number, and biking history (whether you ride regularly in the city, on weekend trips).
*If you are unable to bike long-distance, you may opt to drive, or take public transport.

    The blurb:
Forty kilometers northwest of Chengdu city lies Anlong Village. This eco-village is part of the Chengdu Urban River Association’s (CURA) battle against polluted rivers in Chengdu. Eco-farming, biogas digesters, greywater treatment systems, and urine-diverting toilets are some of the projects that CURA has incorporated in Anlong both to promote sustainability among villagers and protect the lotic ecosystem.
For past visits, please visit CURA’s website: http://www.rivers.org.cn/Action/93.html

    Tentative details:
    Date: August 2, 2014 (Saturday)
    Time: 8:30 – 18:00
    Cost: 70 – 130 RMB
70 RMB will cover lunch and CURA publications, 100 RMB will cover compensation for CURA tour guide(s), 130 RMB will support CURA in maintaining and growing Anlong.
