How competitive is that “competitive salary”?

    Hi Tommy,

Naturally, it depends on qualifications and experience. It’s certainly higher than what universities in Chengdu typically pay foreign teachers, but perhaps not as much as what an international school (Leman, QSI, CDIS, etc.) would pay a foreign teacher. Our hope is that candidates would be interested in looking at the entire benefits package and not just the salary. There are a number of reasons many of our staff stay on for several years at a time before going elsewhere–the vast majority because they are leaving China, not us–and salary is just one.

Hope that clarifies things a bit. If you’d like to know more, please submit your CV and I can give more details. We have two remaining positions in our new programmes open for the ’13-’14 academic year which starts in a few weeks.

    Best Wishes,

    Diane Flick

    Warm regards,
