Hiya all,
I’ve just transferred to Chengdu for work, and as a Brit I like to play footie at the weekends and then completely negate the exercise by having a couple of beers after (naturally. Not a hooligan promise). I’d like to know what football teams are out there that organize try-outs/ kickabouts and actually have a game in the Saturday league? Even peeps who are keen to organize a kickabout in the University at the weekends?

The Huaxiba campus of sichuan uni has a foreign league every Saturday between roughly 1pm and 5pm. There are over 100 foreigners there and if you are half way decent you could find a team. I’d equate the quality to Sunday league/pub league standard. It’s a 5 mins walk from HXB subway stop, get down and get involved.
