tri-athletes and body building are totally different ends of the spectrum. btw i dig running too, but only 10k XC routes back in new england , eff running on the track or in cities.

regarding yogurt: the glass bottle stuff is decent only 5 grams of fat or so, 5-7 grams of protein and hopefully some calcium. I drink it with my black coffee to save my stomach.

i’ve only started weightlifing 3 months ago. but down to add to the circlejerk:

    squat 105kg

DL 107.5 kg lulz needs some work

    Overhead press 47.5

    Bench 77kg

diet, mmm eggs, like 3-4 for breakfast, i cant deal with more than that. lots of peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches. chicken and peanut rice, lots of xinjiang food, heady meatsticks & best noodles ever.

i buy salmon from ikea 40RMB from ikea for 3 flanks, canned tuna and chicken now and again. but the post 7 years vegetarian in me still isnt too fond of cooking meat at home plus the work schedule wears me out.

    btw real men troll trolls

I did eat big and I got fat, that was the point of my post. Watch what you eat because not all weight is equal. Go easy on dairy especially.

You ate big and got big.

    Gotta lift big too, brow.

I’ve been having moderate pain where my thighs meet my hips, in the front, so I’m thinking something needs to change with my form

Highly likely this is your hip flexors over compensating for poor TVA function, which in turn causes your pelvis to tip excessively when load bearing. As you descend to the floor under weight, your flexors contract forcefully in an attempt to stabilise your spine (L5/S1). The flexors will over time become weak as they continually spasm into contraction. Do a little research on TVA function, and start including it in your routine. Start paying more attention to your breathing and posture also, as well as carefully (in forward plane) stretching out your hip flexors regularly, but don’t over do it.

    To parellel, yeah.

My arm has finally healed up enough lately to bench again.

    70kg 5×5 so far.

Still a ways to go to work back up to my former 90kg.

I’m gonna go thumbless grip from now on too.

    Any 2012 fitness related goals?

Mine are the same as they always have been:

    -eat more

    -train harder

    -drink less

Maybe this year I will actually pursue them, but I’m not getting my hopes up.
