Buying Eyeglasses in Chengdu?

Hi there,

Womp womp…. lost my glasses last weekend.
I bought this previous pair years ago in Beijing at a mall loaded with shops specifically selling eye wear. The cost was super low and the service was great!

Does anybody know if there is some kind of eyeglass market here in Chengdu? Or any suggestions as to the best place to buy a new pair for cheap?

I’m not sure about a market but there are eyeglasses shops (which also do eye exams) all over the city, look for the characters for glasses (眼镜 – very close to the characters for eyes, 眼睛) and you will see them everywhere. If they don’t have frames you want what you can also do is buy frames at one place (online, etc) and bring them to these shops and have them make the glasses for you. Good luck!
