Have any of you guys heard of Trevor James aka The Food Ranger?

He’s a dude based in Chengdu and is totally dedicated to making high quality youtube videos about Sichuan food, as well as other cuisines around Asia.  I’ve found this guy to be the best resource for learning about the food scene here, which is a must considering the food here is incredibly delicious, unique, and there’s just so much of it.  After all, Chengdu is a UNESCO city of gastronomy .  Also, if you are trying to pick up some basic day to day Chinese his videos are great for that as he does all of his transactions with the local chefs and laobans in Chinese and includes subtitles.

Nice, I have not heard of this guy. Thanks for the links. There is another expat doing food tours here at ChengduFoodTours.com, worth checking out as well.

I love this guy, Trevor James and have been watching quite a few of his videos not only in Chengdu but he travels to other south eastern countries to eat.

Check his channel out but be warned you will be hungry and his Chinese is awesome!!
