The primary school that I was working for is looking for 1-2 new English teachers for the new term. The school is located downtown in close proximity to the Buddhist Temple ”WenShuYuan”. It is easily reached by subway + 10 minute walk. The work schedule is as follows: There will be two classes on Tuesday morning from 10:45 – 12:10, four classes on Thursday from 10:45 – 12:10 in the morning and 2:00 – 3:30 in the afternoon – and another three classes on Friday morning from 9:40 – 12:10. Payment: 150rmb per class (35-40 minutes) + 50rmb ”travel allowance” each time/day you teach there. You will get paid weekly – usually on Friday. You are welcomed to have lunch at the school canteen during your lunch break after classes. I enjoyed teaching there very much last term. All of the other teachers were friendly and very helpful. Compared to some other schools I have taught at – students were rather well behaved and I usually didn’t have to spend much time on disciplining them. Full-time teaching position, 12,615/mo and up, 22 teaching hrs, near Happy Valley

 

We are a training school located on 3rd ring road in the northwest of Chengdu, near Happy Valley and Jiulidi. (Not too far from the Chadianzi subway station.)

Students are mostly primary school students, although we do have some kindergarten students, some teenagers, and occasionally some adults.

Class sizes are usually 1-on-1 and 1-on-2. Groups never exceed 1-on-6 (but we currently have no groups larger than 1-on-3).

We are looking for a native-speaking foreign teacher, preferably from the US, Canada, or the UK. Non-native speakers from western Europe without a strong accent may be considered. Like any training school, applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of working experience for us to apply for your work visa.

The salary is competitive and based on years of full-time experience. Salary for applicants with 2-years experience (after tax) is 10,315, plus 1,800 housing and 500 transportation allowance (total of 12,615). Applicants with more than 2 years of related experience can expect a higher starting salary. For applicants living far from our campus, a driver can be arranged to pick you up and take you home before and after work.

Teaching time will not exceed 22 hours per week. Most teaching will be Friday-Sunday or weekday afternoons and evenings. Teachers have 2 days off during the week (between Monday and Thursday).

We are looking for 2 full-time teachers. One to start IMMEDIATELY and one to start by October 9th. Part-time positions are also available.
