Latin Vibes @ Rumba in Chengdu, 4/17

This Thursday we (disco death) are hosting an event at Rumba in LKF Chengdu. This place is a Latin bistro & cocktail bar started by a guy who fell in love with places like this in Manhattan and wanted to open something similar in Chengdu. Aside from Latin drinks there’s some real solid food here which you can’t get anywhere else in Chengdu like Cubano sandwiches and Jamaican style jerk chicken.

Come check us out and say hi. The event is free and there are food and drink specials. There are a few DJs but there’s a VJ and Corona girls coming as well. We are playing Latin music, of course. I heard something about a Colombian dancer as well, that might be here also. The venue is located between LKF and the Shangrila Hotel.

Rumba is the first and only Latin Bistro in town. The concept was largely conceived by part-owner, Chris Lu, who had lived in NYC for many years. The Latin culture is known for its passionate music and dance, festive atmosphere, spicy food, tropical cocktails and friendly folks etc. Rumba aims for bringing its customers an authentic Latin experience including fares from Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, Peru, Brazil and more through everything the place has to offer. It can serve as an ideal destination for lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, drinks, as well as party!
