Looking for Apartment NW of City Center

Hi,

I going to move beginning of November to Chengdu and I’m looking for an apartment. Preferably north west of the city center and close to the subway. I’m not quite sure about prices of apartments in this area. I see quite a big price range. I’m looking for an small, simple but modern apartment for about 3000 RMB to max. 5000 RMB/month.

I’ve never been in Chengdu so any advice on finding an apartment would be welcome. I’ve looked at (amonst other) at chengdu-apartment.com, but they only seem to offer apartments in the south, south east of Chengdu.

It would be great if someone could give an advice where (e.g. website) to look for an apartment and maybe give an advice how the living is this area of Chengdu. That would be great.

Hello! I might have something interresting for you.

I am currently searching for 2 flatmates in an appartment in the city center (Waitan), just next to Sichuan Uni. But if you want, you can rent only one of the two rooms we have.

The flat is composed of 3 bedrooms (one is 1800 yuan, the biggest and the other is 1400 yuan, the smallest, but big enough for one person), 1 bathroom with european WC, kitchen, washing room, diner space with table and a confortable and big living room. The flat is on the 41st floor with an incredible view over the city. It’s like a postcard! Subway is very close (niuwangmiao, line 2, 5/10 minutes by foot), and you have good and cheap restaurants around + a supermarket with Uniqlo and H&m. There is a lot of life around.
