Travel Insurance for outside of China

Hey,

I’m heading to Borneo with a couple of friends for Golden Week. Everything is set, but we’re wanting to get some travel insurance taken out in case shit hits the fan. As we’re all Chengdu based, it excludes us from most UK/US companies, and I’m not sure if we would be covered under a Chinese company (nor would I have a clue what I was signing up for).

Has anybody had any experiences of sorting insurance based in Chengdu before?

I’ve taken out travel insurance (for trips in Africa and South America) in Chengdu from Allianz. I had someone contact them – they came to my office and filled the forms in there..was quick and easy.
