Click on an individual lens and it will take you to a page with technical information and comments. While Pardhu is generally correct in that Canon lenses can be expected to outclass third party lenses, there are a number of Sigma, Tameron, Vivitar and Tokina lenses that could be considered depending on your budget.
That said, I just use Canon lenses.
