Whoa. Surprised this place isn’t already known by most everyone. They got a good donut. Decent bread. And for 8 kuai a killer cup of coffee. Brewed coffee for a third the cost you’ll find anywhere.
Fede: I’ll have to take you up on that offer. But for an on the fly cup of 美式咖啡 that tastes authentic I’ll still swing by 85c
Unfortunately the man in shorts was not me. My red bicycle recently bit the dust. May she rest in peace. You’ll see me riding wheelies on a blue bicycle these days.
There’s one next to the Starbuck’s at Daye and Jinxing. Had the donut….not impressed. Kinda stretches my definition of “donut”. Closer to a bagel with chocolate on top. Or maybe it was 4 days old.
The ones I’m used to are quite soft and often very sweet. Mine was a lot more like bread, as was the last donut I tried here. Maybe they are using a kneaded dough like the Chinese donut? Either way, the chocolate on top was very good. I will definitely try more stuff there.
