    Hello guys,

I want show to you a little mod on my laptop, that can help us use a second hard disk in your computer.

With this removable box you can use your optical drive (CD/DVD/BD) or your secondary hard drive.

Isn’t news but maybe some people don’t know this…

this might give my poor old laptop a new lease of life.

These are awesome, I have one in my Macbook Pro. I got mine from Century Computer City on First Ring Road.

Since hard drives are at such high capacity nowadays, the best thing to do is put an SSD into the primary hard drive position and a traditional 2.5″ laptop drive into the secondary. My 3-year old laptop boots in about 12 seconds and has over 1tb of storage. Best of both worlds.

I used in common HD slot an SSD and in this secondary box an 750Gb HD… really useful!

In Century Computer City after an afternoon of searching, only one shop have this box but online it’s more easy find this.

Go with your pc model number because not all cd/dvd slot are the same! for example my laptop is Acer and i bought a Thinkpad box… for a little difference I had to adapt box…

    How to prepare:

    – under your laptop usually have 1 screw for put out your cd/dvd

    – insert secondary HD in the new box (simple fit in)

    – insert the new box in cd/dvd side

    – put the screw

    – finished!

Otherwise I can help you, I love repair pc… 😉
