After 14 months of being accessible, we are now blocked in China. We’re trying to find a solution but considering there might not be one, and you’re best off accessing the internet through a VPN anyway, we recommend you stick to that.

Here are some that we like:

    Freedur: http://www.freedur.net

    Witopia: http://www.witopia.net

    Strong VPN: http://www.strongvpn.com

We’ll be giving away free VPN accounts soon, too. Stay tuned.

Blocked? I don’t have any problem visiting this website without a VPN…

Btw, 12vpn.com definately should be on the list too. It costs like $30 for a year. Their support helped me out big time with some specific questions and I never had any disconnection problems. Setup is really easy too, it uses a little tool called OpenVPN to manage the servers etc.

The site was blocked briefly but is working again for the time being. We’re not sure how long it’ll last, but our fingers are crossed. There’s more in this post which has been updated with the latest info: Chengdu Living Has Been Harmonized.
