Are you measuring the bezel? Higher end TVs with thin bezels measure smaller than TVs which have a large bezel around the display.

measuring the bezel makes it 36″, unless my tape measurer is off ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Does it have AV and/or HDMI inputs? Do Chinese TVs have those things in general?

Yes, the TV has AV, VGA, and HDMI inputs.  Chinese TVs generally have them.

So there’s no reason using a Wii purchased in the U.S. wouldn’t work with a Chinese TV, right?

(Also, I’m sorry to say I’m kind of leading you on here. I’m interested in the Chinese TV situation, but not ready to buy. Sorry!)
