    Hi there everybody.

    Hoping to use some local knowledge! I am planning a one week trip to Chengdu with my girlfriend for her birthday. I have been thinking about something special that we can do. I have been to places like emeishan and jiuzhaigou. Was wondering if there any secrets or hidden gems in or around Chengdu that people recommend a visit?

    Any help much appreciated.

    If you have been to Emei already leshan is a nice option for a 1 day trip. Busses leave from the souther main bus station starting from 9 am if i recall correctly.

    Jiuzhai Gou is great, but far from Chengdu. Qingcheng Shan is worth consideration, the mountain is beautiful and dotted with temples, plus it’s quick and easy to get to from Chengdu (about 30-40 minutes on the newly built train to Dujiang Yan).
