    Translated and tried:

1 – logon in your router 192.168.1.1 using “useradmin” like username and your password that you can find back of your router.
2 – download and save your config file using this address in your browser http://192.168.1.1/backupsettings.conf
3 – open saved file with notepad and find out your telecom admin username with 8 digits like password. Example: <X_CT-COM_TeleComAccount><Password>0D7b1446</Password>.
4 – logon in your router 192.168.1.1 using “telecomadmin” like username and the admin password that you found out.

Maybe a little introduction was better… usually China Telecom router can to be configured by a default user with few options available. By this topic you can find out admin user and password for your TEWA-300AI (common router if you are a China Telecom customer) for setup every option.

    Hi Federico,

i found your very old entry here, but downloading the config file didn’t work anymore. any chance there is an update on how to get all the relevant infos from the router so that i can use my own router?

    Cheers!

China Telecom can remotely configure the supplied modem/router. Just tell them that you want to use your own. They will reconfigure it FOC to bridge mode – or at least they did a few years back when I asked.

Hi Ben, I’m still using this procedure and works for me, probably there is a difference in terms of model or firmware. Feel free to contact me also in private!
