With schools in cities such as Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dongguan, Foshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xiamen, Wuhan and Zhongshan, METEN ENGLISH offers you a great opportunity to explore China with us.

METEN ENGLISH currently has 2700 staff members, which also includes 100 foreign teachers and 200 local teachers. Due to our company expansion, we are looking for experienced and talented ESL teachers.

The courses offered at METEN ENGLISH cover general English for teenagers and young adults as well as business English for working professionals.

Coursework at METEN ENGLISH consists of either private classes of no more than 4 students or activity classes of no more than 12 students each.

Our working hours are 8 hours per day and 5 days per week. Among the 40 hours per week, teachers are expected to teach no more than 25 hours. The remaining hours are necessary for teachers to use the provided METEN curricula and develop unique lesson plans, as well as to attend regular seminars conducted by our experienced national and regional senior trainers.

While developing their ESL career, teachers will also be able to enhance their knowledge of the Chinese ESL industry and the particular needs of Chinese students.

Requirements for Full-time teachers

 Native English speaker from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand or candidates from Europe who possesses Native English ability.

 Bachelors degree or above.

 Graduated 2 years from university prior to start of work.

 TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate.

 Due to work visa requirements, candidates must be aged at 65 years below.

 The candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about teaching as well as living in a foreign country.

Requirements for Part-time teachers

 Native English speaker from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand or candidates from Europe who possesses Native English ability.

 Available working visa.

 Related teaching experiences will be much preferred.

 The candidate should be motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about teaching as well as living in a foreign country.
