    My name is Weiyu and I just finished my study in Syracuse University. can’t wait to come back to Chengdooo and meet new friends! I think this forum is a great place to start.

    Most people who visited Chengdu I knew love the city and I hope all of you are having a blast here.

    It’s nice to see the expat community is growing in my hometown :D.

    The expat community is indeed growing! It’s a great amount of foreigners at the moment in my opinion – you can make friends from a variety of geographic and social backgrounds, but the foreign population isn’t overwhelming like in Shanghai or Beijing.

    Anyway, welcome back. When do you return to Chengdu?

    Sorry, I can’t speak Italian. Interestingly enough, there is a city called Syracuse in Upstate New York in the US. I heard there is coastal city called Syracuse in Sicily, Italy. But it’s not the one.

    Do you guys by any chance know someone from Iran? I studied one year of Farsi and am obsessed about Persian/Iranian culture and politics. I really need someone to practice my Farsi with… I can teach him or her Chinese as an exchange. 😀
