    Pays to be a skeptic sometimes…

    Yesterday got the note on the door: “Pay gas bill”. Went to CDGas to pay. Told it’s 188 kuai for 4 months. Impossible. Average about 20 per month ( dont take hot showers). Refuse to pay. Go home. Knock on door. CDGas employee. Checks the metre. Says “Your cat is very fat” (mind your own business, lady). Tells me bill is 90 kuai.

    Pays to be skeptical sometimes…

    This is frugal and smart. I just pay whatever the bills ask without even really thinking about it – I have no idea what the range of my gas bill is. That’s pretty impressive that you only take cold showers, also. I tried that for a while and couldn’t stick with it.

    During winter in Chengdu? Wow, that’s badass 😀

    I only take cold showers in 2 conditions: Chengdu Summer, Post-Sauna.

    When your water heater is a temperamental piece of shit, you take cold showers…or use the gym ones.


    @Charlie    : normally i’m totally careless with $, but i know my gas bill pretty well…
