A new quiz / trivia night will start this Wednesday (5th June) and every subsequent Wednesday at the Underground Bar / Belgian Monk Bar.
It will be hosted by Hannah from Duvel Moorgat and their premium Trappist Beer, Maredsous, will be served all night on draught for only 30rmb.
The quiz will be in English – all are welcome.

What’s the address? What time does trivia start? Are there prizes? Is the trivia of any sort of specific type? For example, is there a theme every week or is it general trivia encompassing everything?

The Underground Bar is located on club street on Jiu Yan Qiao (Nine Eye Bridge), next to 1855 and behind the Havana Cigar shop.
The quiz starts at 8.30pm. It will be entirely in English with four sections (current affairs, entertainment, sport and general knowledge). We will try to make it as national- and gender-neutral as possible but obviously mixed teams help cover all bases.
The quiz night is designed to be a bit of fun but yes, there will be prizes that change weekly.

…humm that really shows I wasn’t confident spelling ‘Maredsous’ on my own doesn’t it.
this was the most raucous pub quiz I ever went to last week. but good fun.
if anyone wants to come along the people I joined won’t be there this week. Teams are made up on the fly so, so anyone can find/join a team.

Sounds awesome I will try to attend when I visit Chengdu in July/August- so glad I found this blog/site.
Trivia tomorrow will be so badass because everyone will get free beer!! I got a keg of Vedett White — a premium white Belgian, usually for 50 yuan in this city — and giving it out to anyone who attends trivia. One glass per person. And of course Maredsous draft will have its usual 30 yuan discount. Teams no larger than 6.
Also a certain “Brave Chengdu” may be making an appearance/hosting. Tell him to man up and use his real name for once.
