I think it’s no longer possible to register without an ID number. I wonder if this has stopped many people from signing up. Pretty much every time I meet someone new recently they ask me if I’m on Weibo, this is like QQ in 2007.

I found a workaround.

You can use the ID number of a Chinese (friend). It even works if that person already has a Weibo account. I did it a few weeks ago and I can still access it.

haha, I done exactly the same thing.

I also heard that if you register from your phone through the weibo app you don’t have to provide an ID number. Not sure if its true or not.

Last night i have readiing a news from weibo, the news already happening for few days, and i know nothing about it, when i open that information only reading 1 seconds, information was delete it by website. only one seconds then it’s gone, i almost too angry so began to laugh about it.
