Shopping for Cheap Summer Clothes

We are in Chengdu for 3 weeks before heading home to Australia (can’t *wait* to come back here though!)

We really want to buy some cheap / good value SUMMER clothes.

We have been told about taobao but our Chinese is not great and we also really want to be able to look at the quality and most importantly try things on!

Are there any factory outlets or stores where out-of-season fashion gets sent to we can check out?

The main shopping districts we have been to are all stocked up for winter. We found some really great value stuff in one of the  main shopping areas but it was all stocked up for winter. We thought maybe somewhere a little out of town there might be something..

Anyone know of a factory outlet / out-of-season / factory seconds etc. etc. type stores in Chengdu – or even outside of Chengdu that is accessible?

I haven’t heard of anything like this, but summer items will be cheaper online at this time of year. To get those though, and to complete things like the purchase process, will require some Chinese language skills. You might be able to get through the process by using a browser extension that allows you to mouseover Chinese to see English translations, though.
