Hello,
we will move out of Chengdu end of March. Our ayi, Zhang ayi, will be looking for another job. She has been with us for almost four years and is a very friendly, hardworking, trustworthy person. She is available on weekdays but also on weekends if needed. She can do all household work, and take care of kids. She prefers no big dogs and no cooking. She does not speak English but is very clever in understanding a foreigner’s broken Chinese. We would really like her to find another job, as we have grown to like her a lot. Can you give us an approximate idea of the cost involved with this ayi? I have been using the same ayi for a long time but recently my girlfriend is strongly suggesting we use the ayibang website/app which has an indexed list of local ayi’s. I am interested in seeing how that compares with the old-school personal relationship ayi’s like you describe.
