What’s your beautiful time you think you have in Chengdu?
I start it first.
1. In the spring morning 9:00am bring a good book go a peaceful park order a cup of green tea sit next a pond, enjoy my music and my reading and writing.
2.11:00am at sanshengxiang（三圣乡） at a beautiful weekend with 2 friends, order a big plate of spicy catfish, enjoy very good fish dish.
3. 10:3o pm, took my music have a long walk along the Funan river（府南河）, enjoy the evening view about city. city looks good in the evening.
4.11:00pm at Lantown bar（蓝堂） play drum with a brunch of stranger, after have very nice time, go to bbq stall have heshi shaokao.
5.4:00pm at Chengxi Lu（春熙路） buy cup of coffee, find out somewhere to sit, watch all the people walk in front of me, by watching, guess story behind the people.
6.8:30am bring a book to Dufucaotang(杜甫草堂）, find a beautiful corner read srory about ancient China history.
7.3:00pm at Songxianqiao（送仙桥） in a beautiful weather day walk around.
8.5:00pm at qingyanggong(青羊宫）when there is nobody, only me, have good feeling about Taoism temple.
9. eat good food at lot’s of restaurants (too many….)it’s hard lose weight here in Chengdu.
10.1:00pm at Huaxinjie(华兴街） opera tea house, have a good snack at Longchaoshou(龙抄手）then enjoy nice Sichuan opera with whole room of old people.
There also have lot’s of stuff can do out of Chengdu, but i feel i enjoy Chengdu very much.

this weekend was great.
saturday evening – sitting outside having beers and food with friends. good conversation, good eats, warm night.
sunday afternoon – sitting on the patio at dodo cafe on xiaotang xiang in the sunshine, drinking a cup of tea with the fella, trying to spot who was wearing the least weather-appropriate clothing (winner: woman with knee-length puffy coat and furry boots).
this weather makes me love chengdu so much more.
Summer in Chengdu is a little like lucid dreaming, and the reason I decided in 2010 to move here. There’s a tangible charm to the city, I just love walking through different areas and experiencing the subtle ebb and flow of people as they go. People take great enjoyment in the simplest of things here, something that’s all too often forgotten in more developed cities elsewhere in the world.
Summer is edging it’s way in, and already my spirits are lifted.
I will do one thing, take any city bus go anywhere which it is doesn’t matter, just take a bus without target, random go somewhere of the city.
With my music, explore the city. Must be interesting.
I like to watching people on the street, with different look and stuff, some of them are very interesting. kind of like movie. :0
I gotta agree with iameric; in the summer i try never to be indoors in a bar or restaurant. Love sitting on a stool eating street bbq. Last saturday night a few of us were munching on shao kao, al fresco (means outdoors right?). fantastic. my garden has become my dining room since last night. cat is shedding maos like nuts. summer must be here.
Summer night is good for shaokao. Love it…..
Just come back from the starbucks at renminshangchag(人民商场）, beautiful night. so many cars, come from everywhere, so busy!
Funny things is suddenly have a feeling, one day, all of these cars, all of these buildings will gone, will be empty. although it looks very busy now, just there at this time 🙂
Summer edging in as Brendan said + most of the other activities like exploring new places by bus or walking.Not concerned about being knifed for my phone,nor scooter jacked.Watching the ladies perform rhythmic dances on the street corners.
Are you feeling not very good because of air or water here?
