What kind of food do you like best in Chengdu?

Hello,

Lately Im going on a research about the title saying, so what kind  of food do you like best in Chengdu, the hot pot? 串串，or neither? Otherwise you do not like Chengdu food at all? Hope for your good answers.

The first thing that comes to mind is 红油饺子. A long time ago a Chinese person told me that the best places tend to small restaurants with tiled floors near schools. I have found that to be true.

As a generalisation, not Chinese (mainland). I much prefer the Chinese and other Asian recipes by the Ken Hom, a Chinese American chef.

Thanks for your comment, Charlie! 红油饺子taste good but the wrapper is a tiny thick for me, then I prefer 红油抄手, there is a small noodle restaurant near 八宝街, I got to say thats the best 红油抄手 I’ve ever ate, strongly recommend.
