    Jovian and I used to always laugh about that also. He’s the “Chengdu Paul Van Dyk” (he plays trance and bears a resemblance, according to locals in the scene). Really nice guy though and he’s been DJ’ing for 5+ years in and around Chengdu. 100% oblivious to the implications of how that name sounds in English.

    Being an Englishman myself, that translates either as Harry (the man) Ho, or quite simply, Hairy Ho!

    Both conjure up wicked imagery.

    they’re apparently 120 now, before i’d heard only 80 each but wooow expensive and does NOT include drinks apparently (so the poster literally meant the bar was open..for business)

    Yeah, they’ve sold hundreds of tickets already.

    Open bar seemed pretty silly with DJ Shadow headlining anyway (kinda like having Shadow play on “Ladies Night” – comically unnecessary).

    We’re publishing a post about the festival on the blog this week wherein we’ll give away free tickets for all 3 days so look out for that.
