Heh I remember following that thread.

Yea, those are my 90% numbers I’m working on for this 5/3/1 session.

Last time I was at my “1” for OHP I did about 4 or 5 reps, so I think there is some room for gains.

But yea, throw on a set of 20kg weights on each end for standing military isn’t so easy. My bench also needs some work, did 200×3 earlier today.

Not sure if I’m gonna get any writing today, but I upped the bar from 50k to 60k words by November 30, just takes discipline.

Oh snap, sorry Andy, I double posted and accidentally deleted yours.

This means, we must hear more about the “rent a boyfriend” experience.

@Vincent I” tamed” the titles a bit, but yeah it’s an overview.

    True, “Yellow Fever” is funnier.

Oh man, so you have to tell us about the rent a boyfriend.

I did the “rent a wine expert” before but sure it can’t compare. I did the visit the girlfriends parents thing in 2009 and felt like a caged zoo animal.

    hehe, off topic:

    Squats: 315

    Deadlift: 325 (no straps)

Bench 210 but haven’t maxxed yet

    Overhead Military press 140 +

Started the 5/3/1/ and it’s going great

Just read through the thread and I’m glad to hear of Deportiva Wanka’s fine victory. Sounds like it will be a more competitive and balanced season.

    Keep the news coming

Look my comments were a little out of hand due to the the fact that I had to get my 4th of July Burger from McDonalds. I know imported beer is really expensive but there are other brands such as Rogue, Saranac and Samuel Adams which I’ve seen marked for much less at places such as Sabrina’s.

You guys pulled in a huge crowd clearly more than expected but I thought with the sheer volume of folks perhaps prices could dip a bit more on a few things.

Anyways people had fun so I’m not going to be a grinch about it, enjoy your summer.

serious weaksauce at the pug, surely it was crowded as hell but all the food was out by 8pm and the drink specials were a joke. 38 kuai for the cheapest “American” beer ? and still 48 RMB for hamburger. think they could charge cheaper prices for the food and drinks given the volume of customers.

i’ve eaten here twice before and love the food but its best when someone else is paying.

Yea Ray I feel pretty silly for buying my thursday ticket in advance from macchu picchu thinking i was getting a good deal and all. Looks like tmrw I’ll be hitting the “lot” for the scalpers. I think some higher power artificially flooded the market with lower price tix to bring in more heads, pretty flawed logic overall no disagreement there.

you should head out its fun and way better than zebra

Actually “Cut Off” Lp was one of the only things I ever purchased from the itunes store. However I’d be willing to share. Their new music is killer, very LCD Soundsystem esque, this band is miles beyond the competition.

How was friday and today? Looked like nice weather, I’m gonna head out tmrw for Soundtoy and a DJ set by Ellen Allien

Yeah, today is my last day at work, gonna devote the next couple weeks to lots of cooking.

Its not so much the meat that has high fat content at restaurants, but the oil. Even your dish of spinach, kong xin cai, or feng wei is just doused in oil and salt.

Also thinking of removing egg yolks and just doing egg white omelets I was feeling pretty full on my 5 fried egg frittata with tomato and lean pork during my workout today.

Never drink soft drinks or “juice” unless its from a blender. Now and again I’ll get a coke zero at work since Its too hot to drink black or green tea this time of the year.

If you guys have an oven, I really recommend the 40 kuai for 300 g of salmon at the Ikea supermarket. Some of their meals are pretty high protein too if you have time to wind through the displays on the way out. Plus their dining hall is clutch if you are low on silverware 😉

I need to seriously work on my diet. But only here for another month so kind of enjoying the local delights before I return home. Its much easier for pseudo-paleo with ” real” supermarkets and suitable sized kitchens.

Despite big gains in muscle I still have around 5-7 kg of pudge that I blame on all the Tsingtao at Jah bar.

What are you guys hitting for DeadLifts?

Im at 130kg trying to go for 5 reps, but it hard sweating so much the bar is slippery. Someone lent me a deadlift wrist strap which helps a bit but I still need a bit of practice tying it correctly. For those of you at NewOrient you know how damn hot it gets in there.
