I heard about this Chinese site (7659.com) that allows you to download apps without having to jailbreak your phone. I’m a bit reticent to jailbreak my iPad as I heard it can result in more program crashes than usual. I was wondering if anyone’s tried using the site, if they trust it, etc. Please also if anyone has a trustworthy link to jailbreaking or has gone through the experience before, impart with your wisdom. Thanks.
I’ve been recommended to download many costly apps for free with that software on my computer or tablets but the free-downloaded apps may have some chance to not run. Even worse, after a while working apps you got from this software may become suddenly useless. Ps you can’t get updates for these fake apps.
dandanboomParticipantCases like that do happen, less frequently here in Chengdu but to my knowledge there was another gruesome crime just few months before about a highschool student killed on his way to buy a top-up card. the perpetrator, alleged to have no connection with this boy or his family, almost slaughtered the boy and choped off his hand if i remember right. it turns out that the killer is a psychopath and yesterday’s case might be of some similarities.

dandanboomParticipantYeah I’m making an exploratory trip in November, just as my visa expires.
One thing: a student said that in Taiwan they don’t use pinyin. Is that true? That would make it tough with things like street signs etc….I only hear good stuff about this place. It’s true, they have more indigenous Cangjie instead of Pinyin. but to my knowledge they do also have a criteria of transliteration which actually is easier for english speakers to pronounce.
dandanboomParticipantShall we pretend to be Japanese ? God i hate this marketing practice.
dandanboomParticipantAs a Native Chengdu citizen, here comes my suggestions.
Chengdu is not a place where you can practice Mandarin ideally as we speak dialect that is somewhat like Scotish to RP. However, People in Taipei speak Mandarin indead, yet signicicantly differentiated from that of mainland china’s version in terms of the style, softness with an awful lot of expressions from Minnan dialect we could hardly understand… Anyway, Taiwan accent makes boys sound less masculine and girls more feminine.
Both places have a reputation of great food.
Gor for Taipei..
Travel around Chengdu ..
