The waterfront is a good place too (5-10 mins by walk from the Times). The place is pretty clean and you have some shops and Chinese restaurants back door.

The only downsides are the noise (but it really depends of your building, the floor and its orientation) and the isolation (but from what I read on this forum, it seems that’s the same problem everywhere).

You should first hang out in the districts you are interested in, see the different ambiances and then pick out some residences there.

It’s always hard to recommend a particular district to someone as everyone are looking for different things…

That’s indeed the hardest part ! I don’t get why they need to mix different styles !

It’s thinner than any other 4,3″ android devices that I’m aware of and 20 gr less than the Iphone 4. I really don’t exagerate when I’m telling you than the first week I was constantly checking in my pocket to see if the Phone was still there ! (and I’m an ex-Iphone 4 user). I don’t think it’s in the middle ground, the Galaxy Note is.

Did you ever have a Samsung Galaxy S2 in your pocket because that’s completely false ! That’s the 1st phone that I don’t even notice when I have it in my pocket ! Its very light and thin !

@Charlie : Of course you won’t have the same comfort as if you were playing with a pad but some games are totally playable (Mario Kart, Mario 64, Conquer Bad Fur Day…). And don’t forget GBA games (only two buttons and a D-Pad so perfectly playable).

When you’re playing these games you’re not looking for a great gaming experience, I just want to rediscover games I was playing when I was 10 y.o !! Otherwise I would play on my DS.

I don’t’ care who has more apps (I really only use Google Maps & Google Translate on a very regular basis) just want to have the freedom to custom my phone in the way I want.

I also look to a lot of anime/podcast in the subway so having a big screen is my top priority and I think 4,3” is the best compromise.

    We all have different needs…

@ Mina : Wow 100 yuan, isn’t that expensive ? Usually it’s a friend who drive me there but, if I remembered correctly, last time I went back I only paid 40-45 yuan with a regular taxi.

Just for the fact of having an N64 & GBA emulator on my Galaxy, I’m choosing Android 🙂 (but I also like Apple products). I just prefer the possibilities that they offer me.

Hummm don’t agree with that like the sound speaker thing, it only depends of the way you use your device.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy SII and I won’t ever be able to use a currently Iphone again, the screen would look too ridiculous.

True. But that would make sense in order to compete with Samsung and its Galaxy Tab versions.

I just wanted to play with some friends so I won’t play with HK/Taiwan people. Yep I wasn’t considering CoD, more FiFa 🙂

On my PC (at work) it works perfectly. (CoD, L4D, TF2…)
