Oh By the way. I’ll buy the dinner on those “group buy” websites, so I don’t garantee the quality and the taste of the food. FYI, I’ve had both good and bad experiences on “groupbuy” websites.

I did bank wire transfer for my husband. Only needed his passport. I used Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Good service.

I also tried Paypal. Fee is lower. But you can only transfer USD or HKD. No RMB yet. I’ll try online banking next time, see how it goes.

    Hi Chris,

I know it’s almost impossible to apply for a “school” lisence. You can only operate as a trainning/ consulting company. Also, the openning capital will be different for a foreigner. I’m not sure about Chengdu, but in Shanghai you will need half million RMB to open a WOFE. If you open a joint venture, the capital will be less but the process will be much more complecated. The laws and regulations will be leaning to your Chinese partner if you guys are not working out in the future.

Not saying you cant do it, just to let you know, it’s really difficult for a foreign individual to open a copmany here. But if you need help, you can email me [email protected]

For food. If you hate cooking you can go to those “groupbuy” websites.

Popular in China now, save lots of money when you eat in the restaurants.

You don’t have to have the marriage certificate. I’m sure things like this happened before in Chengdu. You can go to PSB and ask them, they’ll tell you what to do. It’s not illegal as long as you are not going to register your baby in Chinese HuKou.
