I have been living in Longquan for around three and a half years. Not many of us out here. I know of only two others The food ranger and Marc who runs a French restaurant in Luodai.

Are you looking to set up a tropical tank?

If so the pet shop street downtown is not so good. There is only one decent supply shop on that street and it’s difficult to find. They mostly deal with goldfish and turtles.

The best place is in flower town opposite the old market which has now been moved. They have about four professional tropical fish places. They also have a salt water shop.

If you need any advice on setting up a tank send me a message.

    A real kebab shop.

A decent music scene (same old bands same old songs).

Higher quality Western food. After spending a few weeks in Chiang Mai the Western food options are just on another level compared to Chengdu, but that’s due to the amount of tourists demanding high quality food.

The Western options at TKL are over priced and just substandard.

As Charlie mentioned places like Mike’s etc are the only decent places we have at the moment.

I feel like our options are still limited.

Not much chance of finding a spot. I used to park next to the poly centre. There is a big car wash place with four storey parking. Also usually if there is a white line you have to pay. We recently sold our car because it actually works out cheaper to use DD taxi and Uber.

Another option is to find a foreign teacher at the university. We can get a free parking pass, but I got my father in laws car on my card. I will ask the others teachers for you.

As you can see from the initial responses to your question, lodderup, Chengdu is an incredibly boring place. The best fun in Chengdu is actually getting your ass out of it. But sorry, I’m with Dan. People’s Park is all at once a novelty, a mindfuck, and an earsore. Quite entertaining the first two times. Bring beer. Also try… North Train Station and environs Sewage Canal walks (bring beer) low-end “special service” massage parlours (pairs nicely with canal walk)

you forgot Lotus Market, Huaxi Hospital and the PSB.

Thx Ben the other PDF I got must have been way out of date.

Our lives would be much easier if the Chinese GOV accepted dual nationality (dream on) and if the UK GOV visa process especially for my wife was much more simplified.

You apply for the right of abode at the UK visa application centre.

I saw that on the website but you need a british passport.

The consulate basically said its up to the mood of the guy/girl at the counter if they grant a visa on a Chinese passport if you already have an American one

I made a mistake of rushing into getting the British passport then had to lie when applying for my son’s British visa. Didn’t really have any other option because he couldn’t leave the country on his British passport or Chinese passport with no visa. Not sure about America but in the UK you can get a right of abode. It’s like a permanent visa in the Chinese passport allowing you to come and go as you please. It’s far more suitable for your situation and with hindsight it’s the route I should’ve went down.

So you have to apply for right of abode via Chinese GOV?

You should defiantly head over to Tagong, but bear in mind there is a big difference in Altitude.  I usually stay with a local family Jya Droma’s

How did you manage it Ian? Know someone who’s been trying to do this without rooting with no avail

Download suggested app from video below, but update Google play services to 7.5.74 if it does not work.
