We’re looking for an experienced native speaker to teach adults and teenagers. We want someone with a genuine interest in education who will work together with students to achieve their personal and professional goals. Our teachers should take their work seriously, but approach it with fun and excitement. We like out-of-the box thinkers who are willing to experiment with new ideas, new approaches, new methods, and who are also focused on results.

Currently there are 5 classes a week with 6.5 total teaching hours. Two classes are in students homes and the other classes are in our school next. Home classes are paid at a higher rate.

We are located in the west of Chengdu near the Southwest Jiaotong University subway station on line 7. Classes are on weekends and late evenings (after 7:30 start time during the week). Classes are currently rather spread out, but can probably be consolidated into 2 or 3 days.

Start time: May 2nd
Salary: 250rmb/hr in-campus teaching, 350/hr for home classes
Hours per week: 5-10
Paid on the last day of the month (or sooner if it’s a holiday or weekend)

Requirements:
– Native speaker (preferably from the US or Australia)

– At least 3 years teaching experience in China (5 years preferred)
– Available evenings and weekends
– Able to continue the position for at least 6 months
– Reliable, punctual, and organized

Full-time teaching position, 12,615/mo and up, 22 teaching hrs, near Happy Valley

 

We are a training school located on 3rd ring road in the northwest of Chengdu, near Happy Valley and Jiulidi. (Not too far from the Chadianzi subway station.)

Students are mostly primary school students, although we do have some kindergarten students, some teenagers, and occasionally some adults.

Class sizes are usually 1-on-1 and 1-on-2. Groups never exceed 1-on-6 (but we currently have no groups larger than 1-on-3).

We are looking for a native-speaking foreign teacher, preferably from the US, Canada, or the UK. Non-native speakers from western Europe without a strong accent may be considered. Like any training school, applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of working experience for us to apply for your work visa.

The salary is competitive and based on years of full-time experience. Salary for applicants with 2-years experience (after tax) is 10,315, plus 1,800 housing and 500 transportation allowance (total of 12,615). Applicants with more than 2 years of related experience can expect a higher starting salary. For applicants living far from our campus, a driver can be arranged to pick you up and take you home before and after work.

Teaching time will not exceed 22 hours per week. Most teaching will be Friday-Sunday or weekday afternoons and evenings. Teachers have 2 days off during the week (between Monday and Thursday).

We are looking for 2 full-time teachers. One to start IMMEDIATELY and one to start by October 9th. Part-time positions are also available.

I teach at i2 and in my opinion they are a good employer.  Of course I can’t rent an apartment for 1,000 RMB a month, but having a little bit extra on top of the salary is nice.  I just think of it as a job paying 9,000 a month.  With other bonuses, KPI’s, etc. I can usually get between 9,500 and 10,000 a month without having to teach overtime (which is pretty easy to get if you want to work more).
