I’ve been talking to Lucy and to Liz and was thinking to check the costume shop out this Saturday.
After that we can hang out in Chengdu (if anyone knows a good place feel free to contribute your ideas).
Dinner and party in the evening for whoever is up for it.
Anyone interested in joining?
I did a beginner’s course last year. Very basic but I had a natural talent for it. Wish I could continue so I’d be up for this too!

I’d be interested to go as well. If anyone could book me a ticket? My wallet got stolen the week before I got to China and I dont have a Chinese bank card yet so pretty screwed without someone booking for me 🙂

Exactly.. when i keep the mobile internet off it does waste a lot less battery. Very strange but I got myself a second battery just in case I am stranded in the middle of Chengdu and in desperate need of maps and/or translate.
The karmeliet sounds good, stories are always better told over a karmeliet 🙂

I actually have the same phone bought from Ireland and I am experiencing similar issues.
The phone sometimes turns off automatically and I have a feeling it is related to some apps running on the phone.
I have seen some improvements since i disabled facebook. I’ve read about other people having similar issues especially when running google maps.
I also try to keep mobile data disabled as much as I can.
The weird thing is that when i reboot the phone the battery status drops from i.e. 65% to 4%…
I have not found a pattern or solution to this yet, but what you could try to do is to buy another battery to keep you going in case of emergencies.
I have been looking for an iron and iron board and some basic gym equipment (dumbells, barbell, bench).
I’ve been here 3 weeks only so all I have to offer for now is my gratitude 🙂
Yeah I do like it too. I have a Canon 400D with basic lens.

If you use Skype make sure not to do video chat. Went through my 100 rmb in a few hours last week that way.
Remember that you only get 300mb per top up. Maybe download some app who monitors your internet traffic. That way you would be able to tell if this is due to the internet use.
And as Vincent mentioned, make sure you disable mobile internet, and not just wifi
