@Ray: my Laetitia (7 year old Tuxedo) says Hi to Tigerkuma…
@Brendan, I’ve thought the same thing and it scared the crap outta me at that very moment.
Mina CMemberHappy Holidays Y’all!
Mina CMember@Ray: I wouldn’t use the word “proud” for whichever product. In my case, I’m not an avid Apple fan for no obvious reasons, it actually granted me a life-changing experience (let me know if you want more details on that). I keep buying Apple products not because Steve Jobs has brainwashed me, but because Apple was and still is producing products of the same awesome quality I was used to with my first iPod and Mac. Apple has cultivated a legion of brand loyalists, I think it’s the sense of belonging that brings the pride of owning its products – it’s like witnessing the brand develop over the years and being part of its history (no exaggerations, seriously).
Mina CMemberWho’d want to take a taxi in Paris?…Moi jamais…
Mina CMembermoichoo, lucky you! I’ve only been here for barely a month and am still in the freak-out phase with cabs. But I’ll get used to it, no biggie.
Mina CMembermoichoo: LOL they all rush as if were their last chance wherever they go. I think I’ll try to find another driver or take a regular cab during off-peak hours.
Mina CMember@Guigz: 40-50 yuan including highway fee? If yes then I’d better start looking for a new driver…
Mina CMemberMine is Mr. Cai, 138-8201-3403. Nice guy. Very polite and punctual. He charges 100 yuan one way from the Waterfront to the airport.
Mina CMemberI can’t believe I missed this!!!!
Mina CMemberIn the mood for Stevie Wonder 🙂
Mina CMemberGalaxy S II has a larger screen, so a lower resolution/pixel density than the iPhone 4s. As to other features (appearance, operating system, storage, battery life, camera, etc), it’s almost a tie. At the end of the day it really depends on if you’re a devoted Apple fan or an Android lover. Both are great smartphones. That said, I’m perfectly happy with my iPhone.
Mina CMemberVery funny. I was about to say that to you but the other way around LOL
Mina CMemberI hope you are kidding…Anyway, I don’t even remember the year of my 8th grade and I ( I mean “on”) am still saying it like this.
Mina CMemberAh la blague a deux balles…Excuse-moi!
Mina CMemberSo is your English…
Mina CMemberOui je te tiens au courant!
Mina CMember@Charlie, thanks for sharing your thoughts. The offer on Kickstarter is quite a good deal ($110 including shipping & handling). As to the weight & restriction to tabletop use, I’m not worried at all coz I’m getting myself a bluetooth version of the Sound Cover which has wireless audio connection. With the bluetooth I can use my iPad without physically attaching it to any devices, and when I need to pack up the whole thing for traveling, it’s around 950g. I think it’s pretty amazing.
Mina CMemberFair enough. I travel a lot for work and I see myself enjoy all the conveniences with this cover+speakers afforded by this cover+speakers. Doing conference calls with remote teams, giving presentations, or simply treat myself to some nice tunes or movies in the hotel room after a whole day’s work…I’m not very keen to travel with my MacBook…
Mina CMemberThanks Brendan for sharing this, it’s absolutely wicked! The only downside is, Kickstarter transactions are processed by Amazon Payments, which currently restricts the ability to start a project to people or entities with a US bank account, US address, major US credit/debit card, and US state-issued ID (drivers license). People can fund projects from anywhere, it’s creation that’s limited. Too bad!
