Well I’d deem the Xiong Mao opening party, hosted at Hemp House, a success. Some of the best music I’ve heard in Chengdu.

    Conrank absolutely smashed it.

@Justin. I’m buying my plants for now as a cheap temporary solution to, at least, give me the placebo effect of having remotely clean air in my flat. Once the funds allow it, I may be interested in one of your pieces. The wooden casing is very tantalising. My next step is to get on the DIY wagon after pay day.

You come across any second-hand Jupiters over there? [pfah, you got Dad-joked]

I don’t know about Jupiter, but I hear Uranus is pretty cheap and easy to get.

Regarding horror films and gore it’d be neat to show one around Halloween, but nothing that might upset any ol’ passerby.  Maybe something like the birds?

I’d love to get my Hitchcock on. Psycho is excellent too, of course.

Could we even be tempted by The Exorcist?

An elegant solution of a HEPA filter taped to a fan.

Any word on how effective these DIY ones would be? I’m pretty sure you can get everything on Taobao. For under 200.

Ian, I’m considering the plant solution. Where can I find one?

    For irrefutably good films:

    • The Fifth Element
    • Kung Fu Hustle
    • Drive
    • The Italian Job
    • Trainspotting
    • Human Traffic
    • The Prestige
    • Any Tarantino film

For my love of movies that are so bad that they become good:

    • Street Fighter
    • Mega Piranha
    • Sharktopus
    • Rubber
    • Hobo With a Shotgun

I’ll hold back for now. Else I’d be here all night.

The most harmless character killing the mastermind – I don’t know, man. It seems about as likely as Walt Jr. killing Heisenberg. Can’t wait for tonight!!

A bit of a wild assumption, I know, but she’s basically the only character that sees Walt as pure evil. All the other characters have their own conflicting opinions, to a degree. In her eyes, he killed her husband. Not that it will be massively pre-medidated, but I feel that there may be an opportunity, and she will take it. Most likely when he’s making up with his family or something.

I’ll put money on Marie killing Walt, as someone should at least be reconciled.

The number of times I’ve been on a deleting spree on Facebook and had such a nice feeling of liberation. It makes me consider deleting my account, but it is so convenient for communicating with friends at home and abroad.

Although, I think Google is a permanent appendage now. Between gmail, calendar, drive, and the ability to sync all this with Android, it’s most of my online footprint.

Tommy. My whip is far from one of these brightly coloured, beautiful, machines known as a fixed gear. It’s a collapsible piece of shit, with a slow leak and wheels smaller than my forearm. Yet I’m still welcomed, albeit with with stifled laughter, at the weekly bike ride.

Fuck it, I want a fixie.

That was the best sandwich I’ve had since I arrived. Also the first sandwich – also the first mustard. Fuck, that was good.

Currently forcing my co workers to participate. Because, apparently, they’re wary of free sandwiches. Them texts are rolling in, anywho!

Suppose I get around ten people to text from Oriental Plaza. How’re my chances?
