for 3/4am ones if a big group notifies us in advance

Dieter, do you think you’ll stay open for Holland-Spain Friday night at 3:00? I’ll come with 4-5 people, which is not a big group, but I’d think there would be more interest of others for this match

I bought some avocados in Haoyouduo once. One was really good, but the second one was bad inside so had to throw it away. As Chinese hardly eat these I guess they could go bad in the shop.

I also saw them in the new korean supermarket at the Global Center. Seems like a good supermarket.

I forgot the price of the time I bought it though and didn’t check the other one.

This morning I saw several cops with motorbikes what seemed like confiscating motorbikes. This was at the first ring road intersection with kehua bei Lu. I saw a similar thing last weekend at renmin nan lu section 2 where they chained up several motorbikes and there was a tow truck nearby as well.

Might be wise to be careful riding a motorbike these days. The police might want to fulfil their quotas or get some extra cash before Spring festival.

    Just a heads up

I went there this week. It’s at the second last subway stop of line 1 in the south.

The pool is not open yet, but you can go in for free now to have a look. There’s also a ice skate ring on the top floor (normal size) and of course an IMAX theatre beside loads and loads of shops. In August a huge Korean brand shopping mall will open (Latte?) which will use about 1/4 of the whole building.

I’m studying at the Sichuan Uni and once you have paid no one cares if you attend classes or not. I’ve had several class mates who after the first few weeks almost never come, they are mainly American exchange students.

The only restriction is if you miss more than 30% of the classes you can’t do the final exam. But as you don’t need to do the test for your visa that doesn’t matter.

Tuition is ¥8250 for 1 semester. You’ll get a visa for the period of semesters you’ve paid for. I pay for 2 semesters as a visa for 51 weeks is ¥200 while a visa for a year or longer is ¥800.

I just applied for a new visa and for students it’s just as easy as before. They now only need 3 weeks time before you can pickup your visa, something to keep in mind!

I’d like to do this in the summer and have two additional questions.

    1.  Can you do the test with any kind of visa as long as you have more than 90 days left on it? (I’ve got a student visa)

    2. How long is your license valid? Probably much longer than your visa, so I’m guessing a license won’t be a legal ID for foreigners.

Thanks for summing this up Brian!

Foreigners can’t hitchhike into Tibet, so I doubt you’ll find any people here to join you

You can try Chinese Love Links, if you sneak in your QQ you can get in contact for free. Momo has an English version too now, but I think most girls there dont speak so much English

Would it be possible to add a button to go straight to the newest or latest unread post in a topic? I know some other forums have an option for this. This would especially help prevent a lot of scrolling in popular topics

Besides the production date it will also say “保质期” (best before date) and behind it xx月/年 (month/year). Add this to the production date and you’ll know if it’s still save to eat your stuff.

Don’t have the exact address but it’s on 玉林中路, near the big hot pot restaurant but on the other side of the road and further south. There are two vets next to each other. We went to the one with a dalmatier logo.

They adviced to give the cat a shot once a day for 5 days or stop when he got better. We went 3 times and it seems to be cured now. One shot was ¥50.

It doesn’t look very professional, but it’s China so can’t expect too much. They have different people working there and the second person seemed more caring about the cat than the first.
