Thanks Federico, that looks like a good vet, but we already went earlier in the afternoon on Yulin Zhong Lu. That place seemed ok.

They checked the cats temperature and gave him a shot. Have to go back tomorrow for a second shot and hopefully it will be over then.

Haha, that’s what I thought 1.5 years ago when there was a small earthquake in the middle of the night.

I was on my bike and didn’t feel anything, but saw people rushing out of there houses. Also an ATM was going crazy, then I thought it might have been an earthquake. It seems though the majority doesn’t take it very serious. The school I teach at just continues teaching the kids.

I think you only get charged when you use the ATM in a different city (also with The Bank of China). Something like a 5% surcharge.

Are flights up there cheap during this time of year?

Not really cheap, think it was 3000 yuan for a roundtrip. But before/ after Spring festival the prices should be better. I heard the ice festival is really impressive, so this was on my to go list for a while.

From Natooke to the top of the hill it’s 36km one way.

We cycled in about an hour and 5 minutes to the bottom of the hill. It took me 35min to get to the top, but Larry did it in about 20 minutes I believe.

I live on the top floor, 7th floor without an elevator. As Charlie says, all surrounding old buildings are of the same height.

I’m up for tomorrow, maybe too on Saturday.

I cycled up the mountain last week and it’s indeed a good ride.

Personally I’d like to see a room before committing to one. When I arrived I stayed in a hostel for a couple of weeks. They’re pretty cheap anyway and give you some time to look around. Especially below 1000 yuan it can be a hit or miss

In Holland the supermarkets also store eggs at room temperature, nothing strange about that. It’s just that people presume they should be stored in the fridge.

I’m on an iPhone and got it working now. I tried the HK servers first and couldn’t get it working, but the US ones connects easily.

    Thanks for mentioning this!
