Will you explain this to me a bit more? Do you have a link to the specs on this? I’m a bit confused by the terminology here.

Regardless, I’m interested. Will send you PM.

Nevermind just saw the imgur album. This apartment is sick and the price is right. I’m sure you’ll have no issues finding a renter.

There is somehting about duplexes I love, especially with the open space layout. Makes the place feel huge.

If I didn’t have a place now I would snatch this up. Get rid of the kids bed and turn it into an office space. Will help you send this around!

Frozen bananas is clutch. I peel a week’s worth and toss them in a freezer bag. Easy and fast.

Your last point is the largest for me. I’m a believer in the Chinese diet in a lot of ways, but if you’re eating by yourself especially it is difficult to get the full range of nutrients. I have never found a real solution as good as the morning shake.

The weirdest part for me is that everything ends up tasting pretty alright. I’ve tried some wacky ones, particularly with high greens volume, and nothing ever tastes too bad. A bit of peanut butter and yogurt base goes a long way.

Glad to see you’re getting good use out of that Japanese hand grinder haha. Guessing you have a separate aparatus for coffee and oatmeal?

I’ve been making this one pretty regularly:

    • Frozen banana
    • Apple
    • Peanut butter
    • Protein Powder
    • Spinach or Broccoli Stalk
    • Plain yogurt

I freeze the bananas so they last longer and I don’t need ice. The spinach or broccoli stalk depends on whatever I’m cooking with that week at night. Some people don’t like the taste but I dig it. Might be a California berkely type of learned apathy towards green stuff in everything.

Since starting to do this in the morning, my energy levels have gone through the roof. I used to have a lot of trouble getting the right amount of greens and fruit in my diet. Now I do it all in the morning.

My life has improved so much having this blender that I finally caved and bought an Aeropress. I’m starting to get why housewives/dads take pleasure in top of the line juicers and vaccum cleaners. Bring on the gadgetry, baby.

Thank you gents for the well-informed replies. Charlie I’ve read a bunch about the FDA and the protective layer issue. I do not refridgerate anymore.

The raw egg thing became an issue with, as Kim guessed, I started putting them in smoothies. I normally wouldn’t htink twice, but when there was bird flu issues a few years back I was living in Suzhou and a person living in my building died. Since then, I’ve tried to err on the safer side of things. With that said, after reading those articles, I’m going to skip the egg in the smoothie and just boil them in the morning for a nice warm breakfast.

On another note, any good SMOOTHIE recipes out there? I’m thinking Chinese marketplace specific smoothies, ideally no imported products.

I’m trying to communicae that I have a nutribullet and now only consume liquids.

    Hi Guys,

Sorry it took me so long to get back. I forgot to turn notifications on.

Package was found! I had the routing number from when my mother sent it off and then just did a bit of backsolving. I figured out which company USPS works with in China, predictably the government run mail, and then went to their site. Thave a tracking system so I just entered it there. A smaller branch of Chengdu’s mail network spewed up under the results, we called them, they checked the tracking number, and then referred us to an even smaller branch where the package was being kept. They then gave us the number of the guy who works there and that was that. I went and picked it up that mornign.

This thread has been a wild read on my Monday afternoon.

Best part about it was that I had just finished pouring the hot water into my cup of Maxwell House instant coffee, and by “cup” i mean measuring cup.

For anyone wondering, 25 capsules of Maxwell House instant coffee is aabout 32 kuai. The Measuring Cup came with my apartment, so I can’t say. The lack of self-respect, though, that is something that you must foster over time.

Charlie man I have to get on your coffee game.

    Hey Kiki,

Thanks for your help! I know the books inside are all in Chinese. Part of why I want to get in there is I also want to use the facility to study/work.

    I’m adding your wechat now!

    Best,

    Zak

The only summer school options are 1 on 1 classes. They require 10 hours per week minimum at 120 kuai/45 minutes. It is absolutely shocking that anyone signs up for it at all.

The point person is getting tired of me asking about different things though, and is going to go ask the card makers (quite obviously trolls) if they make them for non-students.

I’m sure, unfortunately, that the answer will be no. Still hunting for an option!

What about 嘛?Modal particle to add emphasis? Any other fancy uses?

Can’t make it this time around but will this happen again? Will this venue be doable in the future?

Same goes with the jellyfish pool party I guess. Is this something that is recurring? If so, when? I leave for a month in August.

I would love to see a clippers heat matchup in the finals. No one on the heat can guard CP3. DeAndre3000 would be xfactor by pulling in 20 rebounds a game over the bird and bosh. Would bron guard blake? Would barnes guard bron? I feel like the heat are on cruise control right now while all the other contenders are experiencing mild identity crises after rocky first rounds.
