    Wherever I seem to want to go on vacation it seems I have to go through beijing airport first, yuck!

    WHen I was living in the UK there was a handy map that showed every direct flight destination.

    Does anyone know if there’s any map (or similar) of where I can fly direct flights from Chengdu?

    It would have been cool to fly direct flight to Russia on my way home to Sweden, but doesn’t seem to be any direct ones to Moscow and not sure about other Russian cities either.

    They list the international destinations on the airport wiki page here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chengdu_Shuangliu_International_Airport

    Here’s a map also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ZUUU_international_destination_en.png

    But, some of the ‘international destinations’ are not direct, for example, Chengdu<>Vancouver actually stops off in Shenyang or something where you do immigration – however, you do fly on the same plane after doing immigration. Many of the destinations listed, though, are direct.. and some are only direct on certain days. It’s a start at least!

    Air Asia flies to Kuala Lumpur and then on to all kinds of places, including India and Sri Lanka. Best to check their website and avoid the news.

    United flies to San Fransisco, British Airways to London, KLM to Amsterdam, Sichuan Airlines to Melbourne I think, and Qatar Air to Doha. There are direct flights to Taiwan I think too now.

    Chongqing also has a few choices like Finnair to Helsinki.

    Where do you guys book cheap international flights? I use Qunar but usually I’m just browsing aimlessly, not really knowing where or when the best deals from Chengdu are. There must be a website for this in China…

    I normally use skyscanner to compare prices on international flights.

    A map with all destinations would be really cool, but at the rate CD airport is growing I think it would be outdated really fast too.

    Most of you have seen the list on wikipedia i guess but since new flights pop up nearly weekly, lets all post in this thread whenever there’s a new direct flight that isnt mentioned in any of those lists yet.

    There is a direct CD – Luang Prabang flight now for example that can be found on qunar.

    @Charlie
    : Qunar and Skyscanner (and sometimes local sites depending on where I wanna fly to). Don’t know how much you’ve played around with the settings but both sites are awesome, you can get prices displayed on a calendar to see which days are the cheapest.

    There’s also yiqifei which is an agency like elong/ctrip but they are often cheaper when it comes to international flights.
