The Apple Watch & China

I saw one of these “Mamahuhu” comedy videos this morning about the Apple Watch in China, specifically about the gold Edition that is supposedly being made for China.

Do you think this will pan out for Apple and become a massive success the way the gold and oversized iPhone 6+ has? Why or why not?

I checked out the Apple Watch yesterday in Hong Kong (tried it on at the Apple Store) and was impressed with it. It looks better in person than it does in photos. I think the gold one is extremely wasteful but I also know that the $20,000 gold Apple Watch sold out in China within an hour, so… everything is probably going according to Apple’s plan, so far at least.
