Hey guys! Johnny 5 told me how much fun this was when he did it, and suggested that we try! So, open questions on any topic – ask us anything you like,

April 24, 2015 at 10:57 am #45882JessiParticipantIf you had to choose one of your burgers which one would it be?
Nicks favorite does not appear on the menu – he loves a simple black pepper and gooey coleslaw burger. That being said, if he ordered off the menu it would be the Dufu.
Jessi’s favorite is our New Mexico sandwich.
Also what is your favorite pet and why is it dogs
Definitely dogs for both of us. We were both raised around them and have thought of them as best friends since we were kids. Also, they are loyal, loving, non-judgemental, funny and charismatic. That is infinitely better than a fish or guinea pig, in my opinion.
April 24, 2015 at 11:02 am #45883JessiParticipantHow many burgers can you hang on your dick/vagina?
From a physics standpoint, a very uninteresting number. If you were to bite a hole vertically through the burger, I defy you to locate a man who could support more than two hamburgers, even whilst fully ‘enthused’. Nick is a human male, not a barnacle (largest relative penis size in kingdom animalia), so let’s go with two.
Question for me needs more clarification: are the burgers whole or pureed?
if they were run through the blender first, more would fit, but that is also pretty disgusting and something I’ve only seen hinted at in extremely weird Japanese porn. Not really my thing.April 24, 2015 at 11:06 am #45884JessiParticipantHow did you get your start making burgers and what’s the most important/helpful thing you’ve learned doing business in Chengdu?
We have both been avid and enthusiastic home cooks for years. Nick has always been the grillmaster of our social group, and every time we had a cause to celebrate, he would make burgers for all our friends. We made the mistake of doing this once for Mike and Aiqing, and once Mike knew Nick’s secret, it was too late to turn back.
It is important in Chengdu (and anywhere), to remain patient when things are delayed/weird/don’t go your way. It would be very easy to stress over everything that doesn’t go the way it is supposed to, but in the restaurant industry, that would make you a nervous wreck. Better to practice patience and just deal with the things one at a time as they come.
April 24, 2015 at 11:09 am #45885JessiParticipantHow do you feel when you see an uninformed Chinese person take apart a burger and eat it all wrong?
A combination of amusement and sympathy. I get that the reason many Chinese are off put by eating with their hands is because of cleanness reasons, so I make it a point to let them know we have a sink if they want to wash up. Many people are down with eating with their hands if they can wash them first. Some people, not interested no matter how much you explain it.
One guy speared his entire burger with his fork and held it in front of his face to eat it, rotating it like it was on a spit.

I love that you answered this. Great burgers and a sense of humour… Who knew.
😉
April 24, 2015 at 11:34 am #45887JessiParticipant@Brendan – I’m a funny broad. What can I say? In my experience, people are only uncomfortable answering things they feel fundamentally insecure about (e.g. religion, politics, where the last piece of chocolate is).
April 24, 2015 at 4:34 pm #45896MazParticipantAccording to a recent 2013 Gallup poll of Americans, most believe that the assassination of President Kennedy was a conspiracy.
Do you guys think Oswald acted alone, or that there were hidden hands at play?

Nick didn’t offer an opinion, but I will. I cannot, of course, be sure about that. I’m not a history buff or a conspiracy theorist, but I know enough about how American politics has historically worked to acknowledge that it is certainly possible. Although extremely popular, Kennedy did have enemies who were likely powerful. If powerful people have issue with you, they have the ability to make it look like an accident or random attack.

April 26, 2015 at 10:33 am #45913JessiParticipantOne; the bun provides a nice grippy surface. Also burgers are excellent for removing broken light bulbs from the socket – just press to collect all the glass!
