Come and hear Jeff Ma talk about his journey building IOMEETING.com. Bruce Haupt will talk about his Startupweekend experience and the power of open data.

Jeff Ma is Founder and CEO of IOMEETING. His company has it’s headquarters is in Silicon Valley, California with R&D and sales centers in Shenzhen, Chengdu, Jinan and Hangzhou China as well as Tokyo, Japan. IOMEETING is involved in building software and hardware products primarily for business users.
Jeff has a BS from Zhejiang University, China; Ph.D from Indiana University, USA. Worked in Silicon Valley for 11 years, including Intel, nVidia and WebEx.
Bruce is currently in China learning, writing, exploring, and volunteering his time on interesting projects. He cares about the public sector, innovation & technology, and education. He’s very interested in participating in Chengdu’s entrepreneurship community!
Prior to moving to China, Bruce spent the last 5 years with the City of Houston, Texas as a performance improvement and finance manager leading organization-wide strategic initiatives using lean methodologies, advanced data analytics, and technology innovation. Bruce became very involved in Houston’s technology and entrepreneurship communities after participating in Houston Startup Weekend in November 2012.
Bruce’s experience with Startup Weekend led him to work on the team launching Houston’s nationally recognized open data and open innovation hackathon initiatives, followed by Tech Street Houston in November 2013. He cofounded Open Houston and Open Texas Ventures before moving to China, and remains active as a volunteer organizer with Startup Weekend, UP Global, and Code for America.
