Agreed. A lack of forum history gives more the impression of opportunism, than prospective reciprocity. Again, we are not (entirely) callus men. But if you are attempting to entice a stranger into a loan on the internet, I will need to hear more details before my attitude shifts from amusement to empathy.

The people who raise money for victims may ignore an dying boy who has just been run over on street.
Helping people does not need any excuse.
Hypocrites like to help as the society wants. Helpful people try to understand.
