Just a heads up for all those looking for a party fix to cure the post-zebra blues. There are a couple of really interesting acts playing at xiong mao this weekend.
A beijing based electro-pop band playing a live set with analog synthesizers. Also coming are a couple of VJs and DJs from Soulseeds and a d&b / dubstep DJ from Nanning.
An electronic band from Berlin. They have their own record label & radio show. They have released loads of music and have appeared on the legendary John Peel BBC Radio show. Should be a fun show. Support from Metro Tokyo.

Hugely popular techno DJ from Stutgart, Germany. Owner of influential record labels Kling Klong & Session Deluxe. This is also xiong mao’s 4th birthday party.
5/25 – chengdumusic presents: Addison Groove

Addison Groove brings his Chicago juke / footwork sound to chengdu. Until 2010 he was better known as Headhunter, a huge name for people that are into dubstep. Then he released a juke track called ‘Footcrab‘ under his new alias, Adisson Groove. The track was one of the biggest dance floor fillers of 2010. He’ll be playing a live set on the iconic Roland TR-808.
