    About Chengdu’s Charity Organization:

Zhihe Qiao established the Sichuan Qi Ming Protection Center for Small Animals in November 2002. The center, back then just a home for stray dogs on a small property in Flower Town, was the first animal protection center in Sichuan to be owned and operated by citizens. After Mr. Qiao passed away due to late stage liver cancer in 2003, the center was approved by the Sichuan Civil Bureau to officially register as the Sichuan Province Qi Ming Protection Center for Small Animals. The organization was the first provincial animal protection center in Sichuan and one of the first nation wide. After years of development, the center is dedicated to improving the lives of stray animals, promoting animal protection, taking in and saving strays, saving animals from butcher, fighting against illegal dog and cat meat operations, and cooperating with the government to improve the lives of strays in Chengdu.
